Al Masaood Renews its Gold Sponsorship of the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship

Abu Dhabi, UAE, April 15th, 2018:  Reflecting on its corporate social responsibility plans and its obligation towards building lasting relationships with the sports communities in the UAE, Al Masaood Group has announced its third Gold Sponsorship of the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship which returns to Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala Arena at Madinat Zayed Sports City from April 16 to 28, 2018.

Commenting on Al Masaood’s ongoing collaboration with the UAE jiu-Jitsu Federation, H.E. Masaood Ahmed Al Masaaod, Chairman of the Group said: “Al Masaood has been fully committed to Abu Dhabi’s long-term vision in supporting youth and sports and in becoming an international capital for sport practicing, competitiveness and international events. We take pride in sponsoring World-class initiatives and supplementing Abu Dhabi’s s efforts in creating a healthy, inclusive society for which sports has an integral role to play.”

He added: “Repeating our Gold sponsorship for a third year in a row is a testament of our patronage towards the institutionalization of the sport sector in Abu Dhabi given the significant role it plays in the development and advancement of our nation.”

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UAEJJF) announced that the 10th edition of the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship will be the largest event on the Jiu-Jitsu world calendar, will take place on April 16th .  

Al Masaood Group will be hosting a special community activation run by the Juventus Football Academy which it partly owns. The Juventus stand at the Mubadala Arena will be providing complimentary football classes for children. Launched earlier this year, the Juventus Football Academy will have coaching programs run by Italian, Juventus approved coaches as well as its own tournaments and leagues. The programs aim at helping kids take their first steps into football by providing them with a training platform devised by some of Europe’s greatest coaches.

Juventus Football Club is managed by J Sports LLC, a joint venture between Abu Dhabi-based Al Masaood Group and FFG Sports Management LLC.
