Al Masaood Power Division, part of Al Masaood Group and the leading experts in marine propulsion systems and power generation in the UAE, is exhibiting the latest innovative marine technologies at Seatrade Offshore Marine and Workboats Middle East which will run till 24 September at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai. Representing two of most reputable manufacturers in the maritime sector MTU and Volvo Penta, the division will be showcasing MTU’s latest Simulator of Blue Vision New Generation “Advanced” Control and Monitoring system in addition to its advanced Hybrid Propulsion system.

With a strong focus on marine commercial engines, Al Masaood Power Division brings to the industry a wealth of technical expertise and marine solutions through its partnerships with MTU, one of the world’s prominent manufacturers of drive and power generation systems for watercraft; and Volvo Penta, the main manufacturer of marine diesel and patrol engines, generators and fully integrated propulsion systems.

This past period has seen multiple successes for Al Masaood Power Division as we became an authorized distributor for Volvo Penta in Bahrain following a thriving partnership with the Swedish company in UAE for over 3 decades.

“The Division has also successfully commissioned and delivered 3 patrol boats for a governmental authority in a neighbouring country, totaling 13 overall in the last two years. Each vessel equipped with twin Volvo Penta D13-700 Engines accompanied with an EVS engine management system developed in-house by Volvo Penta – Sweden. Furthermore, we commissioned and delivered 10 crew and pilot boats to Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) that were built by Grandweld Shipyard at their Dubai Maritime City facility. Each of these vessels are equipped with MTU Marine Diesel Engines model 16V200M72, each rated at 1930hp at 2250 RPM, and MTU Blue Vision New Generation “Advanced” Control and Monitoring system.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; Seatrade Offshore Marine and Workboats forms part of UAE Maritime Week 2019 and is the largest regional gathering of shipping and maritime industry decision makers. The event attracts almost 8,000 attendees from 90 countries who specifically use this platform to conduct business with shipowners, ship operators, ship managers, charterers, superintendents, senior management and other industry professionals involved in the procurement of equipment and services within the maritime, offshore, oil, gas and ports industries.
