Al Masaood Automobiles, the exclusive distributor of Nissan in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the Western Region, has proclaimed the Abu Dhabi winner of Nissan’s regional competition launched as part of the year-long celebration of the 70th anniversary of the legendary Patrol.
The anniversary competition called on Patrol owners in the region to share their exciting personal stories with the ‘Hero of all Terrain.’ Their stories were uploaded online with accompanying images. The shortlisted participants were also required to bring their vehicle to an authorised workshop for a technical inspection. Those who obtained the highest public votes–one for each market–were declared as winners.
Anas Ibrahim Khalil received the key to his brand-new Patrol after his entry garnered online public votes during the three-month competition that kicked off in September. The prize was handed over in a ceremony held recently, at Al Masaood Automobiles’ Nissan showroom in Khalidiya, Abu Dhabi. The company’s top management were present during the special event.
Anas Ibrahim Khalil, is one of three lucky winners from the UAE and Saudi Arabia would get to drive home the iconic 2022 Patrol 70th Anniversary model, which recently made its world debut. The high-performing model combines SUV’s rich heritage with prestige and purpose. More luxurious and connected than ever before, it sports a host of design and technological upgrades and carries a distinctive badge on the fender.
Abdulilah Wazni, Marketing Director, Nissan Middle East, said: The Nissan Patrol is a symbol of heritage and significance that has become entrenched in the social fabric of the UAE and the region. As part of ongoing celebrations around the 70th anniversary of the vehicle, we launched the competition to pay tribute to those who have played their own personal role in the SUV’s legacy. Advancing on its proud legacy of dominating every terrain for the past 70 years, this competition is a homage to all of our past and present clients, as well as an engaging greeting to our customers of the future."
Wassim Derbi, Head of Marketing, Al Masaood Automobiles said: “The fact that the competition of this kind was held only in the region and that we received overwhelming entries from our communities demonstrated the Arab world’s enduring relations with the celebrated SUV brand. Learning how the Patrol had impacted the lives of so many and how it has become a part of their everyday activities through decades was truly inspiring.”
“Their stories have motivated us to continuously bring iconic automotive models such as the all-new 2022 Patrol closer to our customers in Abu Dhabi. On behalf of Al Masaood Automobiles, I would like to congratulate Anas Ibrahim Khalil and his fellow winners. They can now experience and enjoy first-hand the off-road vehicle’s reliability, power, luxury, and comfort while embarking on their new adventures,” Derbi added.
