On Zayed Humanitarian Day, we remember the UAE’s founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed, whose humanitarian efforts knew no borders.
As a philanthropist, Sheikh Zayed donated generously to charities, built schools and hospitals in the UAE and in far corners of the world, and supported scholars, academics and educational bodies. The spirit of giving that he embodied continues to inspire others to follow in his footsteps.
The late Sheikh Zayed was also known for his sustainable conservation efforts. As part of his vision, he planted millions of trees, established the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital and the Sheikh Zayed Wildlife Conservation Center, and created the Abu Dhabi Global Environmental Data Initiative to protect the UAE’s natural resources for future generations.
Let us honour his legacy by continuing his humanitarian efforts and contributing positively to our society.
