Our Power Division's principal brands; @mtusolutions and @volvopenta have introduced products that are sustainable and eco-friendly to help restore the vibrancy and health of our oceans. The 16V4000M55RN MTU gas engines are currently being used for the world's first LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) hybrid propulsion tug. The LNG hybrid propulsion system will be able to flexibly respond to different operating modes and switch between low-emission LNG engines and zero-emission battery power.
Another solution is the Volvo Penta's twin D4-320 DPI Aquamatic hybrid-electric solution. With its full system approach, it allows operators to seamlessly shift between driving modes further enhancing efficiency on board.
