Monday, 19 November 2018

Motorsports enthusiasts and racing fans are set to an exciting five-month riding season with the first-ever Al Masaood National Motorcycle Championship, which opened on Saturday (, November 17, 2018) at the Dubai Autodrome. Organized by Revolution Accessories, the sole distributor of Ducati superbikes in the UAE and part of Al Masaood LLC, and administered by Dubai Autodrome Motor Sports Club (DAMC), the championship is hosting three separate cups every month from November up to March 2019.

The new racing cups include the 600cc Supersport, the 600cc Superstock and the Ducati Cup. Riding is also made easy for the Ducati Cup with the introduction of the ‘Ducati Cup Arrive & Ride’ concept package for this season, using the Ducati Panigale 959 Corse being leased by Ducati UAE.

The package includes maintenance, fuel, tyres and spares and riders simply need to arrive on the race day as everything is set up, with the motorcycles fitted with full race kit and crash protection and technicians on standby for all necessary preparations and all other required assistance. Riders who opt to join the 600cc Supersport and the 600cc Superstock will be riding their own bike.

Joel O’Brien, General Manager, Revolution Accessories, said: “We are extremely excited to launch the Al Masaood National Motorcycle Championship to all motorcycle racers in the UAE as well as motorsports enthusiasts looking forward for the adrenaline rush this season at the Dubai Autodrome. We continue to work on innovative ways for riders to fully enjoy the benefits of a Ducati riding experience through the event in line with our mission to support motorsports in the country and we are confident that the five-month riding season will deliver a spectacular event for all fans of the sport.”

The races will be held on November 16-17, December 7-8, January 25-26, February 15-16, March 1-2, and March 22-23. For season and race entry fees, mcsales@ducati.ae.
