With everything happening around the world this past year, we really saw the power of community and collaboration. On a professional level and having been engaged with successful teams; I can wholeheartedly attest to the importance of teamwork to the importance of teamwork.

When you are looking to collaborate and make changes, regardless of how big or small, consider the following points:

Find the Right People: 
Consider what it is your team needs and find people that can fit that requirement. Teams are only as successful as their members and one should think carefully when selecting someone to join a team to take the project forward.
 
Outline a Clear Goal:
When people are aligned to work towards a specific outcome, one that is equally challenging and attainable, they are more likely to move towards it together.

Establish a Strong Structure:
This will include the rules that everyone abides by as well as members’ roles within the team. Knowing what is expected of you, including rewards and consequences, as well who you can call/rely on based on the task, make a team cohesive and bring individuals together to form a unit.

Behind every successful individual is a great team. And every great team sets its members up for success.
